Annotation description:The location of the adenosine A2A receptor was assessed by pre-embedding immunoperoxidase and immunogold labelling. The A2A receptor was found in dendrites and spines (Table1 and 2, Fig.2-6). Immunoreactivity was found on plasma membranes and endomembranes.

A monoclonal, mouse, antiserum was raised against the human adenosine A2A receptor (clone 7F6-G5-A2, Upstate USA, Charlotteswville, VA). The antibody produced the same immunoreactivity pattern in wildtype mice, but not in A2A KO mice (data not shown in this paper).
