Annotation description:In this report, Geerts et al study the dynamic distribution of tomosyn-1 in mouse hippocampal neurons. By applying immunoelectron microscopy, immunocytochemistry and live imaging, the authors show localization of tomosyn-1 to dense core vesicles in EM images and indirectly by co-labelling with the DCV marker chromogranin B (Fig 2, 4). Furthermore, time-lapse images and coresponding kymographs supports these findings by showing co-migration tomosyn with neuropeptide Y, a DCV marker (Fig. 5).
