| Annotation description: | Authors generate two independent shRNAs against the rat sequence of JAK2 in order to investigate the role of the protein in NMDA-LTD. Transfected hippocampal organotypic slices were used to test this. While basal synaptic transmission was unaffected in transfected slices, NMDA-LTD was absent in those neurons expressing the shRNAs against JAK2 while neurons expressing the control shRNA did express LTD as expected. |
