Annotation description:The authors used whole cell patch clamp recording from the calyx of held to show that application of 5HT attenuated EPSPs, and only agonists of 5HT1b receptor could mimick this effect (conversely for the respective antagonits). In addition, the authors found that 5HT affects the paired pulse ration thereby identifying its site of action as presynaptic.
