| Annotation description: | Using two specific antibodies and STED microscopy, it is shown that RIMBP localizes to active zones in drosophila NMJ. RIMBP tightly colocalizes with Bruchpilot, a well established marker for the active zone (Figure 1). Figure 2 provides two knockout controls for the c-terminal antibody. Due to the high sequence homology between fly RIMBP and mammalian RIMBP1 & 2, and based on the fact that mouse RIMBP2 is localized at the active zone (Grauel et.al. 2016), it is assumed that mouse RIMBP1 is also present at the active zone. |
