| Annotation description: | Figure 1: as demonstrated by reverse-IP and mutated-domain-controls in the crude membrane fraction prepared from the mouse brains; s-afadin (AFDN) interacts with MAGUIN-1 (CNKSR2, long isoform) and MAGUIN-2 (CNKSR2, shorter isoform that lacks the C-terminal 137 amino acids). Figure 2, 4: s-afadin (specifically its RA domains) and MAGUIN-1 are required for the localization of PSD-95 (DLG4) in the cultured hippocampal neurons. Further, loss of MAGUIN-1 impaired cell surface localization of the AMPA receptors (Fig. 6). |
