Figure 8 presents a quantification of the immunogold labeling as a function of age. Substantial labeling densities are present for both isoforms.

Table 2 presents the summary of the immunogold labeling quantifications.

Figure 1 presents the antibodies used. For all experiments, a negative control was made in the absence of primary antibody. The small amount of non-specific labeling was quantified and subtracted as background.

Figure S1 presents western blots for each of the antibodies. A single band is seen for the CaMKII alpha and beta, however, the blots are cropped so specificity evaluation is difficult.
